NEW HAVEN - The Connecticut Health Foundation has issued grants to the Hospital of Saint Raphael, which developed a mobile dental program to provide oral health care, and to the Hill Health Center likewise for an oral-health initiative. Begun in February 2000, the program serves 11 area schools. In its first year, 222,700 individuals were served. The Hill Health Center has multiple sites in the New Haven area with more than 9,300 patient visits in 2000. A total of $370,000 in grants statewide were awarded by the foundation its fall 2000 giving cycle.
