Shuldman Ascends at TransAct

WALLINGFORD - TransAct Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ: TACT) has named Bart C. Shuldman chairman of its board of directors, effective February 14. The 43-year-old Shuldman will continue to serve as president and CEO. Previous chairman Thomas R. Schwarz was named chairman of the newly created executive committee and will continue to serve as a director.
Said Schwarz: “I have enjoyed very much my tenure as chairman through TransAct's formative years, but I now believe the time is right to turn the chairmanship over to Bart, who has led this company since its inception. I believe that TransAct is poised for a new era of growth. I look forward to remaining involved with TransAct as both a director and chairman of the executive committee.''
