MILFORD - The Capital Region Education Council has partnered with Milford-based Advanced Corporate Networking (ACN) to outsource the council's Internet access services. The recent agreement includes a major upgrade of the council's network and a transfer of network operations to ACN's state-of-the-art data center.
ACN's Digital BackOffice.com service has been designed with expanded education portal services to allow integrating computer systems into local, regional or state intranets and external private networks. These networks can be accessed from schools, homes and business, or from just about anywhere, says a company spokesperson.
Also, ACN was recently selected as one of four finalists nationwide in the first annual Technology Achievements in Education Awards contest, co-sponsored by Microsoft in Education and the Microsoft Corp.
