NEW HAVEN - A contemporary Mediterranean steak house is one of the newest restaurants to open in New Haven. Soco opened during the holiday season at 230 Crown Street. Owned by George Amaral, the restaurant features a contemporary New York-style of decor. Look for some surprises on the menu such a Chilean bass, various fondues (yes, they're still around) and fresh soups made daily. Soco is open 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 5 to 10 p.m. Saturday.
