DERBY - Stahl's Jeep of Derby is switching its automotive affiliation within the Daimler/Chrysler family from Jeep to Dodge. Remaining in its current location, Stahl's has been renamed Derby Dodge and will sell and service Dodge cars and trucks exclusively. Stahl's has been family-owned and -operated since 1917, when it began as a battery-repair shop. In the mid-1940s, Stahl's began selling new Hudson automobiles, and later products of the American Motor Group. It became a Jeep dealership in the 1970s. Derby Dodge is a member of the Stevens Automotive Network, but remains owned by a Stahl, namely Craig.
