Gateway Offers New Certificate Program

NEW HAVEN - The Board of Trustees of Connecticut Community Colleges has approved a new certificate program in Meetings, Conventions and Special Events Management beginning this month. Stephen Fries, professor and coordinator of the Hospitality Management programs at Gateway, developed the new program which is designed for students seeking careers in the growing field of meeting planning. According to Fries, the new program will help those already in the field update their skills. The new certificate program emphasizes the management of and services for meetings, conventions, trade shows and special events. For further information on the new program, contact 203-285-2175.
