NEW HAVEN - The former Grand Chalet at 400 Sargent Drive has officially become a Fairfield Inn by Marriott. The Susse Chalet chain of hotels was sold in February 2000 to Olympus Hospitality Group of Dallas, Tex. The hotels are being managed by the Paramount Hotel Association of Fairfield, N.J. Together the two companies have partnered with Marriott to rebrand 20 of the 27 Chalet hotels to become the new Fairfield Inn by Marriott. The New Haven location is newly renovated, and plans are underway to renovate and rebrand other Connecticut hotels in Rocky Hill, Wallingford, Milford and Stamford.
