NEW HAVEN - In case you missed it, WBNE-TV became an UPN affiliate on January 1, becoming WCTX television. According to Greg Bendin, station manager, the biggest programming change will take place during prime time. WCTX will carrying UPN programs from 8 to 10 p.m. weekdays. If all of this is confusing, look for shows such as Star Trek Voyager on the new station as well as XFL football games. And speaking of football, if you are tired of the same old field shots, beginning February 4 cameras will be positioned in such unlikely places as locker rooms, sidelines and, yes folks, on the helmets of players. For those looking for the serious stuff, WCTV television will continue to partner with WTNH to produce the 10 o'clock news.
