Oil's Well That Ends Well

NEW HAVEN - Vertrax Inc., which provides IT solutions to local delivery and service companies, has entered into a technology partnership with Apex Software to introduce SmartDrops, Vertrax' first products, to users of Apex' Oil Manager software. Oil Manager provides Windows-based vertical business applications for the retail oil industry, typically serving companies with 10,000 or fewer home delivery customers. SmartDrops helps to add GPS tracking of oil delivery trucks plus automated routing, sequencing and mapping capabilities for daily operations.

“The retail oil industry is turning more and more to technology to run their businesses more efficiently and increase profitability,” explains Apex President Mark Nardone. “We made the decision to partner with Vertrax to introduce SmartDrops because we're impressed with the technology and recognize that it will revolutionize the way home oil deliveries are made.”

Vertrax was launched in January following completion of a $2.45 million funding round.
