EAST HAVEN - Students of the Ellis Art Academy in Rockford, Ill. are singing the praises of NEATO, LLC, a producer of labeling and media packaging, for NEATO's help in creating a CD of 13 songs written and performed by first- through eighth-grade students.
NEATO recently donated $500 to the magnet school, attended by students who are dedicated to the arts, and has also offered to sell the CD worldwide, with all profits going to the school's music program. It's part of NEATO's School Stars initiative, which rewards innovative musical compilations from the nation's schools. Artwork for the CD's label, booklet and tray liner were created by the kids using NEATO's MediaFace II software, and printed on NEATO label and jewel case insert stock.
At a time when schools are being forced to cut back on programs in the arts, we have designed a program to help reverse this trend, says NEATO President Peter Tracy.
