MedQuist Turns to HSS

HAMDEN - MedQuist Inc. (NASDAQ: MEDQ), the nation's largest electronic medical transcription service company, has partnered with HSS Inc. for the latter's WinStrat coding solution.
MedQuist provides outsourced coding arrangements to clients and requires encoder software to standardize the coding function across its HIM team. WinStrat is well suited to this role because it's the only coding product with both logic- and dictionary-based coding systems to address multiple and varied healthcare settings and disparate coder skill levels, says the company.
It also has a complete set of clinical references and guidelines to improve coding and avoid compliance issues.
