CSC Picks Oxford for IT Outsourcing

TRUMBULL - Oxford Health Plans Inc. (NASDAQ: OXHP) announced November 20 that it had signed a five-year agreement with Computer Sciences Corp. (NYSE: CSC) to provide information technology outsourcing services. Under the terms of the agreement, CSC will support select Oxford information technology services, including data-center operations, help-desk services, desktop systems and network operations. Oxford's IT department will continue to support application development and maintenance, database administration, quality assurance, program management and architecture.
CSC will begin transitioning select Oxford IT services on December 1, with plans to complete the process within a year. The 150 Oxford information-systems staff impacted by this decision will become full-time employees of CSC effective December 1, reporting to the company's Norwich office. These employees will receive comparable pay and benefits packages.
