HAMDEN - Imani, A Boutique, has relocated from the Town Hall Plaza in Hamden to 2348 Whitney Avenue in the Spring Glen section of town. Owned by Imani Thompson, the shop carries clothes for women in sizes seven to 3X. Thompson, whose motto is “Dare To Be Different,” carries clothes for the working woman, some after-five, leather and suede as well as dress hats, Berkshire hosiery, scarves, handbags, some jewelry as well as aroma therapy soaps, lotions and candles. The shop also carries some handmade accessories by local artists. Aiming her market at the working women, Thompson also does personal shopping, seeking out specific items for clients. She encourages people to call if they are in need of something and can't get there until after closing. Waiting for clients after hours is one of her services. Imani, A Boutique is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
