NEW HAVEN - Star chefs from 14 of the area's most renowned restaurants and caterers will show off their talents at the Star Chefs Auction of Greater New Haven, 5:30 p.m. November 30 at the Omni New Haven Hotel at 155 Temple Street. A benefit for the March of Dimes, the event will feature each chef presenting his or her specialty or signature dish for attendees to sample. There will also be wine and beer tasting as well as a silent auction. Following the reception and tasting, guests can bid on items at a live auction which includes such treats as a five-course seafood extravaganza from Templeton's at the New Haven Hotel, a gourmet wine dinner for six from Hot Tomato's and a weekend getaway (airfare included) to any of six locations.
