HARTFORD - Most students know that computer literacy is key to their professional development. But how? A new video by the Connecticut Business & Industry Association (CBIA) gives middle- and high-school students a look at information-technology (IT) jobs in the state. CBIA is distributing the tape to all middle and high schools in Connecticut as well as higher-education venues. “The IT sector is one place where we have a real need for qualified workers,” explains Lauren Weisberg Kaufman, CBIA's vice president for education and training as well as director of the CBIA Education Foundation. “And many students know it's a solid future career choice; they just don't know how to get there.” For particulars, visit www.cbia.com.
