NEW HAVEN - Gateway Community College is seeking area businesses and organizations to place the growing number of business and accounting students seeking internships. The internships begin in late January and run through mid-May. To date Gateway has placed some 150 students in area businesses. Site mentors receive useful assistance from student interns by assigning them meaningful projects. Students earn three credit hours by spending a minimum of five hours weekly at the workplace for 15 weeks. Gateway's Stephen Fries directs the program; he may be reached at 203-285-2175.
