FAIRFIELD - The Norwalk-based Modem Media was named the fastest-growing technology company in Connecticut by the Connecticut Technology Council (CTC) and Deloitte & Touche LLP. The announcement came October 24 at the fourth annual Connecticut Technology Fast 50 Awards reception at Fairfield University's Quick Center for the Arts. For the five-year period ending in 1999, Modem Media posted revenue growth of 16,800 percent. Finishing second was Alexion Pharmaceuticals of New Haven, which grew its revenues 13,690 percent over the same interval.
