NEW BRITAIN - Beginning with this edition of Business New Haven, American Financial Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: AMFH) will be listed on the BNH Stock Review, which tracks public companies located in or of importance to Connecticut.
AMFH is the holding company of American Savings Bank, a Connecticut community bank since 1862, although it was taken public only last November. It is the third-largest publicly traded financial institution based in the state. American Savings operates 17 branches primarily in Middlesex, Hartford and Tolland counties, and employs 233 workers. The listing will be added tothe November 16 edition.
