Dianon Acquires Colo. Pathology Practice

STRATFORD - Dianon Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: DIAN), a cancer and genetics diagnostic information company providing service in anatomic pathology, earlier this month announced that it has completed the acquisition of substantially all the assets of John Altshuler, M.D., P.C., a pathology physician practice located in Englewood, Colorado, which specializes in dermatopathology and GYN pathology. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
According to Dianon President and CEO Kevin Johnson, acquiring Altshuler's practice “furthers Dianon's strategic goal as a full-service pathology provider on a national level.''
Dianon provides anatomic pathology testing services, a number of genetic and clinical chemistry tests, and the CarePath disease management information service to patients, physicians and managed care organizations throughout the U.S.
