ORANGE - Maxwell's Oyster Bar & Grill has opened at 175 Boston Post Road in the former Lender's Restaurant. Taupe walls with red accents give Maxwell's a feeling of elegance. Lindi Petrone, general manager, describes it as “a slice of the Big Apple” in Orange. Other highlights are a 50-foot bar plus a raw bar and a large waterfall that runs down individual pieces of slate. The dinner menu has everything from lobster to beef dishes. You can order escargot or lamb chops grilled with natural herb jus for an appetizer. The luncheon menu has entrées, salads and sandwiches in addition to the raw bar. Maxwell's is open daily for dinner and every day but Sunday for lunch. But make sure you call for reservations, as the word is out that Maxwell's is the place to go.
