NHSBs Terrell, BNH Earn Chamber Honors

Area business and community leaders will receive awards for their work in promoting economic prosperity in the region at the Annual Awards Breakfast of the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce, October 18 at the New Haven Coliseum. The award breakfast is held in conjunction with the Southern Connecticut Business Expo.
Charles Terrell, President of New Haven Savings Bank, will receive the coveted 2000 Community Leadership Award from the Chamber for his career at New Haven's premier hometown bank and his role in a variety of community organizations. Terrell is Chairman of the Town Green Special Services District, a Proprietor of the New Haven Green and a director of Market New Haven Inc.

The internet service provider DSL.net of New Haven will receive the award for high technology achievement.
The new anti-virals company, Achillion Pharmaceuticals Inc. of New Haven, will receive the award for biomedical achievement.
Quinnipiac University's radio station, WQUN, for community outreach.
The South Central Region Council Governments for advancing a regional legislative agenda.
Applied Engineering Products for manufacturing innovation.
Business New Haven for small-business leadership
Laurie Kendall-Ellis, President of Allied Health Rehabilitation, will be honored as Chamber Volunteer of the Year for her capable efforts in promoting Chamber objectives.
Phoenix Press and Anthony Falcone will receive the award for the year's best "Business After Hours," held at Phoenix Press.
