NU, Con Ed Request DPUC Reconsideration

HARTFORD - In a joint filing to the state's Department of Public Utility Control (DPUC), Northeast Utilities (NYSE: NU) and Consolidated Edison (NYSE: ED) have requested that regulators reconsider their position on certain conditions they had required prior to approval of the proposed merger. The companies must also obtain approval from the states of New York and New Hampshire as well as two federal agencies.
