UTC, Shell Announce Joint Venture

SOUTH WINDSOR and HOUSTON - The International Fuel Cells unit of United Technologies (NYSE: UTX) and a Shell Oil Products Co. division, Shell Hydrogen US, have announced plans to create a 50-50 joint venture for the development, manufacture and sale of fuel processors. This equipment is used for the conversion of fossil fuels into hydrogen. Target customers for the processors include fuel-cell power plant manufacturers and auto manufacturers.
