NEW HAVEN - Community pillar John C. Crawford announced earlier this month that he will quit his post as president and CEO of the South Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority (RWA) in order to devote more time to outside business interests. Previously president of the now-defunct First Constitution Bank, Crawford has chaired the Regional Growth Partnership, the Hospital of Saint Raphael board of trustees, the 1996 campaign of the United Way of Greater New Haven and the Long Wharf Theatre Corporate Council. Crawford chairs the New Haven-based Aristotle Corp., a holding company which in 1999 acquired all of the outstanding stock of Simulaids Inc., a manufacturer of health and education teaching aids. Simulaids is currently Aristotle's only operating subsidiary. Crawford joined the RWA in 1994. C
