Citizens Bank has named Waldo Emerson Williams of New Haven vice president/business development manager for Citizens Mortgage Corp. Williams was graduated from Wesleyan University and joined the residential lending division of People's Bank in 1994. He will manage the community and affordable-lending outreach efforts of Citizens through the development of new loan programs and promotion of existing ones.

Jocelyn Maminta has re-joined WTNH-TV. Maminta first joined the New Haven station in 1993, co-anchoring News Channel 8 at 5 a.m. with Keith Kountz and Good Morning Connecticut. She left the station in 1997 to anchor a newscast at WITI-TV in Milwaukee. Most recently she co-anchored CBS 13 News 5:30 and CBS News at 10 in Lubbock, Tex.

The Connecticut River Valley & Shoreline Visitors Council has appointed Jennifer Wislocki executive director. Wislocki, who served as a director of the Connecticut River Valley & Shoreline Council and acting chairman of its public relations committee, previously was director of marketing and public relations for Goodspeed Musicals in East Haddam. Before that she was a public relations account executive for Mintz & Hoke Advertising. Wislocki received a B.A. from the University of Connecticut.

Milford Hospital physician Robert Malone, who is retiring after more than 50 years of practicing medicine, was recently honored by the hospital for his “devotion to his patients.” “Dr. Malone has helped hundreds of Milford Hospital patients over the past 53 years and we are grateful for his dedication and devotion,” said Paul Moss, president of Milford Hospital. “During his career, he has witnessed and participated in many medical firsts that have changed the way we now practice medicine.”

OR&L Facility Management in Branford has announced that David Wilcox, vice president of facility operations, has earned the designation of Certified Property Manager from the Institute of Real Estate Management.

Jeffrey B. Hughes of Southbury has been named director of planning and business development for the Saint Raphael Healthcare System. He will be responsible for strategic and business planning, certificate of need applications and competitive market research. Hughes, who has 20 years' experience in health-care administration, previously served as director of health-care management consulting services for Pricewaterhouse Coopers in Hartford. Before that he was director of operations and director of planing at Danbury Hospital and also served as planning coordinator at Newport (R.I.) Hospital. Hughes earned a bachelor's degree from Boston University and his master's in public health from Yale University.

Press Cuozzo Realtors has announced that five employees are recent recipients of awards from the System 1 Real Estate Networking Group of Connecticut. Mary Jo Deck and Carol Shank received Platinum Awards. Deck has been a Realtor for 15 years and Shank for 25 years. Roberta Palmeri was honored for outstanding sales achievement in 2001. A Realtor for 20 years, she wrote more than $7 million in residential sales in 2001. Susan Shaw Santoro and Ellen Nathanson received Presidents Awards, the highest award conferred by the group. Santoro has been a Realtor for 17 years and Nathanson, who sold more than $9 million in residential sales in 2001, for 26 years.

Miller-Johnson Inc. of Meriden has announced the hiring of Tom Mitchell, Andrew Mitchell and Erik Mitchell, who previously served as shareholders of Vision Graphics, in business for 13 years until recently ceasing operations. Rampart Associates LLC, a consulting firm that works with owners of graphics arts, printing and informational technology industries, initiated the transaction on Miller-Johnson's behalf.

Ted Meekins of Milford, a retired Bridgeport police officer, has been appointed to the board of directors of Boys Village, a city-based school for troubled youngsters located on Wheelers Farm Road. Meekins earned associate's and bachelor's degrees in criminal justice and a master's in public administration for the University of New Haven.

The Connecticut Society of Association Executives has elected Donald Dickey, principal of Dickey Management Services Inc., president of the organization. Dickey previously served as vice president. Also the group named John Farnham, executive director of Associated General Contractors, has been named the Connecticut Association Executive of the Year. The award was established 19 years ago to recognize an outstanding professional in association management and is based upon the nominations of the membership.

The Governor's Prevention Partnership, a non-profit public-private alliance co-chaired by Governor John G. Rowland and People's Bank President John Klein, has named five directors. Janice C. Perkins is vice president of government relations and Medicaid programs for HealthNet of Connecticut. In the health-care industry for 25 years, she previously served as manager of government programs for M.D. Health Plans. Susan Paris is vice president for university relations at Boston University, where she is responsible for public relations and marketing for the institution's 17 schools and colleges. Awo A. Quaison-Sackey is president and chief executive officer of AQSolutions. She received her law degree from the University of Ghana and master's degrees in law and business administration from Temple University. Yvette Melendez Theiesfield is chief administrative officer of the Connecticut State University system. She holds a bachelor's from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York and master's degree in management from Renssalaer Polytechnic Institute.
