Energy East Mergers Completed

STAMFORD - Energy East Corp. (NYSE: NEG) announced on September 1 that its mergers of CMP Group Inc. (NYSE: CMP), Berkshire Energy Resources (NASDAQ: BERK), and CTG Resources Inc. (NYSE: CTG) had been completed. The three merged companies have become wholly owned subsidiaries of Energy East. The announcement also said that as of September 5, the trading symbol for Energy East stock is EAS.
