PE Biosystems Announces New Research System

FOSTER CITY, Calif. - PE Biosystems Group (NYSE: PEB), a business of PE Corp. also doing business as Applied Biosystems, announced its new system for mass spectrometry called oMALDI ion source for the API QSTAR Pulsar Hybrid LC/MS/MS system. The system will allow researchers to do high-sensitivity, higher-throughput analysis of peptides and proteins. The equipment moves research closer to more precise diagnosis and treatments specific to a particular patient.
