Praxair Acquires Alpine Medical

DANBURY - Praxair Healthcare Services Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Praxair Inc. (NYSE: PX), has acquired Alpine Medical, LLC, a Bensalem, Pa. limited liability company.
Alpine Medical provides respiratory and other home care services through locations in Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey.
Praxair is the largest industrial gases company in the Western Hemisphere, and one of the largest worldwide, with 2001 sales of $5.1 billion. The health-care market accounts for about nine percent of Praxair sales worldwide.
Alpine Medical posted 2001 revenues of $25 million.
