Olin, Occidental Extend Letter of Intent

NORWALK - Olin Corp. (NYSE: OLN) announced that it and Occidental Petroleum Corp. have extended the letter of intent to combine their respective chlor-alkali businesses. The original letter of intent was announced in June, and Olin indicated that a definitive agreement should be reached with Occidental by the fourth quarter of this year.
