Hubbell Teams With Hawke International

ORANGE - In a cash transaction, Hubbell Inc. (NYSE: HUBa, HUBb) has acquired Hawke International. Based in Ashton-under-Lyne in the UK, supplies a range of products used in hazardous locations.
Hawke markets its products worldwide with representation in each of five geographic centers, although the bulk of its fiscal 2001 sales were to customers in Europe. Its strongest revenue growth markets over the last three years have been Asia and North America, which are served by Hawke offices in Singapore and Houston. Planned expansion in the Middle East and South America is projected to add to sales in the current year.
Tim Powers, Hubbell's President and CEO, says the Hawke acquisition “significantly expands our product breadth and service capability in several global markets.”
Hubbell is an international manufacturer of quality electrical and electronic products for commercial, industrial, utility and telecommunications markets, with approximately $1.3 billion in annual revenues.
