Advest To Be Acquired

NEW YORK - Advest Group Inc. (NYSE: ADV) and MONY Group Inc. (NYSE: MNY) have announced a definitive agreement whereby Advest will be acquired by MONY in a cash-and-stock deal. It is expected that Advest will retain its Hartford headquarters. The deal, subject to the usual closing conditions, is expected to complete in the fourth quarter.
