Connecticut Regulators Delay Decision on Con Edison

NEW BRITAIN - Connecticut regulators are delaying a decision on the acquisition of Northeast Utilities (NYSE: NU) by Consolidated Edison Inc. (NYSE: ED) due to the amount of information that needs to be reviewed. The state's Department of Public Utility Control now plans to reach a decision by October 4. Both companies indicate they wish to complete the merger by year's end.
