HAMDEN - The South Central Chambers of Commerce are starting a new broadcast on radio station WQUN (1220 AM) in Hamden. In Touch With Your Community, hosted by Ray Andrewsen, will focus on local business and community news and information from around New Haven County. Beginning September 15, the show will air every other Friday between 9:10 and 10 a.m. It represents the first time a group of chambers within a region have co-sponsored a radio show. The first week's broadcast will feature the Connecticut Association of Firefighters' annual convention, which will take place in East Haven on September 17. The convention will feature 500 pieces of fire equipment and apparatus from around the state and a five-and-a-half-hour parade. In addition, the first broadcast will also focus on the Milford Chamber of Commerce's Job Fair, to take place September 16 at Milford Hospital from 9 to 11 a.m.
