Software Supports Nursing Homes

CHESHIRE - Co-developing and co-marketing MedSurg software, which automates inventory control, purchasing and Medicare billing preparation for nursing homes, is part of a recent joint business agreement between NCS Inc. and Kye Software Ltd.
NCS is a Cheshire-based provider of information technology consulting services, and Kye, based in Stratford, specializes in inventory management and software for the nursing home industry.
The existing MedSurg software tracks medical supply usage by product, resident, date or resident class. It also automates data assembly for monthly Medicare billing.
"This alliance is great news for any nursing home looking for state-of-the-art software and systems to automate their inventory management," says NCS President Robert Watcke. For instance, says Watcke, the alliance will bring MedSurg users new services for their hardware and network systems, in addition to application support. It will also aid the functionality of future releases of MedSurg.
