WINDSOR LOCKS - In May, Bradley International Airport posted its largest monthly increase in air travelers - 22 percent over May 1999. More than 640,000 passengers flew Bradley in May, with nearly three million emplanements year to date through May 31. US Airways led the way among carriers, handling 159,182 passengers for nearly 25-percent market share. US Airways was followed in order by Delta, American, Southwest and United. This confirms that Bradley is no longer a regional facility, but a major New England Airport, crows state Transportation Commissioner James F. Sullivan. Travelers have discovered the wealth of options that Bradley offers and have helped make it the fastest-growing airport in the Northeast.
