CuraGen Creates New Subsidiary

NEW HAVEN - CuraGen Corp. (NASADAQ: CRGN) has announced the creation of a new majority-owned subsidiary, 454 Corp., for the development of new technologies to be used in pre-clinical development, drug discovery and pharmacogenetics. The independently funded subsidiary is backed in part by a $32.5 million private placement. In the near term CuraGen plans to name a CEO for the new subsidiary as well as provide for the election of directors.
