ORANGE - Humphrey's has opened a new restaurant at 311 Boston Post Road in Orange. The original opened in 1984 at the corner of Humphrey and East streets in New Haven and became noted for its overstuffed sandwiches and wings. We've taken the concept and improved upon it by adding steaks, fresh fish, pasta and vegetarian selections, says Dan Licitra, manager of the Orange location. We provide taped background music, the kind that doesn't drown out conversation, and live music Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Our live music is diversified - jazz, R&B, '70s - pleasing to a wide range of people. The Orange restaurant is owned by Tony Prifitera, who owns Humphrey's in New Haven, and William Santagata and Pete DiAdamo. Prifitera is also opening a Humphrey's in Westbrook. The Orange restaurant is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to midnight, and weekends until 1 a.m.
