Farmer’s Markets: A New England Tradition

WEST HAVEN - A farmers market has sprouted in West Haven, the latest of more than 60 statewide. Approximately 150 of Connecticut's small family farms are offering fresh fruit, vegetables, herbs and flowers at markets through late October. The West Haven farmers market will open July 13 at the corner of Main and Center streets in the public parking lot on Thursdays from 1 to 6 p.m. For a complete list of Connecticut markets contact the state's Department of Agricultural at 860-713-2575.
