NEW HAVEN - Wide Eye Marketing has announced it is open for business and ready to "break through the clutter to reinforce brand positioning and maximize sales," according to principal Harry Viens, an industry veteran with more than 25 years of agency experience in promotion and advertising and executive vice president of Mason & Madison, Wide Eye's parent.
Prior to launching the new agency, co-principal Eric Sastram held positions involving consumer, brand, event and account-specific marketing for various Fortune 500 companies within the packaged goods industry.
Wide Eye will set its sights on the packaged-goods industry with a particular focus on national/brand consumer promotion, account-specific marketing and business-to-business programs.
The Wide Eye name grew naturally, according to Sastram, from the company's strategy to use breakthrough creativity to generate consumer attention. "We could have easily named the company after the principals," adds Viens. "But we wanted our name to instantly communicate that we are not a business-as-usual marketing agency. We wanted a name that gets your attention and directly ties back to our market position.
