Break New Accounts, Keep the Old

Cashman & Katz Integrated Communications in Glastonbury has added two new accounts to its client list. The agency has been contracted to provide a range of communications services, including advertising, public relations and strategic planning for accounting firm of Blum Shapiro & Co. P.C. Cashman & Katz will also provide public relations and corporate positioning/partnering services for the Institutes for Pharmaceutical Discovery. This Branford-based client is a biotech research organization which promotes and manages institutes devoted to the discovery of innovative pharmaceutical products for various diseases. In addition to these new additions, Cashman & Katz clients include Winstar Communications, Navigant Consulting, the Hartford Courant, CTnow.com and the Mohegan Sun casino.
The New England Technical Institute has named KGA Advertising as its first agency of record. The Middletown-based agency will create a full media campaign that will break in July to recruit students for the school's campuses in New Britain, Hamden and Cromwell.
"This is the first time we are hiring an outside agency, and we were looking for one that could provide the kind of creativity we need to stand out in the increasingly crowded field of higher learning," says Mark Traub, vice president of New England Technical Institute.
KGA's client list includes First Federal Savings, Pilot Pen, Bob's Stores, Furniture Renaissance and the state's Department of Public Utility Control.
The Atlantic Group of Norwalk has been retained for brand management by four technology companies: Hewlett-Packard Specialty Printing Systems, of San Diego, Calif.; Kenosia, of Danbury; Digital Idea, of Westport; and iGain.com of Westport. The Atlantic Group has been selected to develop brand strategy and branded communication initiatives for these technology companies, whose businesses encompass the business-to-business, corporate and consumer sectors.
