| ANSONIA - It's not really a city, of course, but that's not stopping the Naugatuck River Valley from sending a delegation to Louisville, Ky. In hopes of bringing home the bacon in the 51st annual All-America City competition. On May 31 elected officials from Ansonia, Beacon Falls, Derby, Naugatuck, Oxford, Seymour and Shelton, as well as other members of the Naugatuck Valley team, debarked from Nolan Field in Ansonia in quest of the All-America City designation, earned by New Haven in 1998. The award honors communities of all sizes in which citizens, government, businesses and volunteers collaborate to address critical local issues.
