MIDDLETOWN - If you can't escape the office by tee time, hop onto the Web to review your last round. The latest version of Golf Insight - an Internet-based program from Idein Interactive - shows how to slice strokes off your golf scores by analyzing your swings and recommending how to fix problems.
Although most golfers don't think so, they are making repeated mistakes on the golf course, says Steven Brown, of Idein Interactive. When I started using Golf Insight, I was able to analyze my game and track my problem shots. I made the proper adjustments and was able to consistently lower my score.
Here's how it works. Golf Insight uses an innovative grid system to chart all your shots while you play an actual round of golf. After the game, log on to the Web site and enter each shot's position into the program. The program then analyzes the information and offers suggestions on how you can improve.
Over time, the recommendations are refined and your scores and handicaps get lower, says Brown. You can also perform a variety of analyses based on personal performance data according to criteria such as golf courses played, weather conditions, stroke types and overall conditions.
The program can be accessed from any computer, says Brown, and includes a link to a Web site that gives current weather conditions at numerous courses. For details, visit www.golfinsight.com or call Idein at 877-473-3613.
