MIDDLEBURY - General DataComm Industries Inc. (NYSE: GDC) announced that its MAC 500 multimedia access concentrator has won the 2000 Market Engineering Award for Technology Innovation from Frost & Sullivan. This international marketing consulting firm presents its award to a company for its superior technology in the industry in which it operates.
In a separate announcement, General DataComm reported revenues for the six-month period ended March 31 of $64.4 million, compared to $53.6 million for the comparable 1999 period. The company reported a net loss of $14.8 million (65 cents per diluted share), compared to $11.6 million (58 cents per diluted share) for the comparable six-month period of 1999.
