BRANFORD - You no longer need to travel to Lancaster County, Pa. to buy Amish furniture. Branford's newest store, Welcome Home, specializes in Amish and country furniture, some made by John Marshall who owns the shop with wife Anne. Located at 116B Main Street, the shop opened a few weeks ago. Other items in the unusual shop include candles, gifts, dried flowers and wrought-iron items such as wall sconces, match- and candle-holders. The Marshalls chose Branford because they wanted a town that had the feeling of old New England and at the same time provided good prospects fo commerce. Welcome Home is open Tuesday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday and Saturday until 8 p.m. and Sunday noon to 5 p.m.
