CuraGen, Genentech Renew Vows

NEW HAVEN and SAN FRANCISCO - CuraGen Corp. (NASDAQ: CRGN) and Genentech Inc. (NYSE: DNA) announced the renewal of a collaboration begun in 1997. The partnership, which is being renewed for at least 30 months, takes advantage of CuraGen's genomic technologies. Genentech will provide research funding to CuraGen as well as research fees, milestone payments and royalties. Genentech will hold the rights for licensing, development and marketing of any therapeutics developed as a result of the collaboration.
