NU-Yankee Energy Merger Completed

BERLIN - Northeast Utilities (NYSE: NU) and Yankee Energy System Inc. (NYSE: YES) have completed the merger of the two companies. Per terms of the agreement NU will pay $45 for each share of Yankee Energy, with 45 percent of the price payable in shares of NU and the remaining 55 percent payable in cash.
