Berkshire Energy Shareholders Approve Energy East Merger

PITTSFIELD, Mass. - Shareholders of Berkshire Energy Resources (NASDAQ: BERK) approved a merger proposal with Energy East. Shareholders of Berkshire Resources are expected to receive cash in the amount of $38 per share. The merger is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to complete in mid-year.
