IMS Health Partners with Allscripts

WESTPORT - IMS Health Inc. (NYSE: RX) and Allscripts Inc. (NASDAQ: MDRX) have announced the signing of a strategic partnership for developing Internet-based applications targeted to the pharmaceutical industry. The joint venture will develop products and solutions for the pharmaceutical and health-care industries and also sell and market the prescribing service of Allscript. IMS plans to make a $10 million equity investment in Allscripts.
