WATERBURY - Webster Financial Corp. (NASDAQ: WBST) announced it had acquired the privately held insurance agency, the Levine Companies, with locations in Norwich and Waterford. Webster made the acquisition through its Damman Insurance Associates, the bank's insurance subsidiary, itself acquired by Webster in 1998.
