MADISON - J. Max Industries, a wholesale janitorial supply business, has been sold to E.Z. Way Products of Waterbury. The impending retirement of Chuck Beckman, J. Max's owner, forced the sale of the family business, which has been in existence for 14 years. E.Z. Way purchased the product line and account list of J. Max, which will close its offices on County Road as a result of the transaction. David Beckman, who was president of J. Max until the sale, will continue to service all former J. Max accounts.
